About State 11 Hypnosis Specialist hypnotherapy in Spalding, Lincolnshire
Hypnotherapy and hypnosis is about you - not me.
But if you're seeking help, you might want to know who you're coming to see!
At various points in my life, I've worked in high pressured public and private sector roles. I've experienced my share of problems and trauma, and needed help to overcome them, too.
I specialise in helping people with anxiety, stress, fears and phobias, including people given sometimes unhelpful "labels" like PTSD or generalised anxiety. I believe in treating you as a person, not a diagnosis, and will always tailor my treatment to suit you as an individual, rather than a set approach for every client.
I know how sometimes, your mind can seem to be intent on screwing up your life. Whether it's because you're struggling with anxiety, battling demons from your past, trying to lose weight, suffering with lack of confidence or something else entirely, your mind can sometimes be your worst enemy.
But your mind - and the unconscious mind, where the problem is truly to be found - only wants to protect you. It's just going about it all wrong, because, basically, it's got the wrong end of the stick. It's working off misunderstandings and misguided beliefs, and together we can help bring it - and you - to a proper understanding of the situation, which in turn will lead to a healthy response and resolution of the situation.
If you're seeing someone for help, it is a good idea to make sure they're qualified.
You might be surprised to know that anyone can call themselves a hypnotist or a hypnotherapist with no training at all. I find that worrying; maybe you find worrying too. Here's my qualifications, so you can be sure that you're getting fantastic treatment tailored for you:
During 2021 and 2021, I studied with the Quest Institute in London, where I obtained my HPD (Hypnotherapy in Practice Diploma - a formal, recognised qualification in Hypnotherapy. I also obtained my Practitioner certification in Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP). This gave me a wonderful understanding and grounding in hypnotherapy and hypnosis, and the almost limitless ways that people can be helped with problems using hypnosis, as well as ensuring that I understand how our use of language shapes both our internal and external experiences.
I was trained in Generative Life Coaching by Robert Dilts and Stephen Gilligan. This taught me how to help people work their way through life's problems in a somatic fashion, allowing themselves to open up to themselves - and others - and how to help people create meaningful change in their lives.
I was taught MindScaping by the Mike Mandel Hypnosis Academy. This super-cool visualisation technique can help create a sense of direction and allow you to respond to obstacles in your path in a non-destructive manner.
I've trained in Shamanic Healing with Christa McKinnon in her London workshops and learnt powerful spiritual based techniques to help reconcile inner and historic trauma. I am fascinated by the links and similarities between ancient shamanism and modern psychiatric work.
I trained with Karl Smith of the UK Hypnosis Academy, studying both their Diploma (including Past Life Regression) and their Kinetic Shift technique. Kinetic Shift is a technique designed specifically for deep seated trauma, such as Post Traumatic Stress, and doesn't require the client to discuss any of the events that led to the trauma occurring.
I trained with Andrew T Austin in both his Integrated Eye Movement Technique (like a super advanced version of EMDR) and Metaphors Of Movement training (all based around how the way we describe our experiences reflect deeper issues, and how to change them).
The wonderful thing about having these qualifications and training is that it means I have multiple ways to help you. If you don't enjoy the experience of hypnosis, then we can work with your eyes. If you always feel that "part of you" is causing you problems, then I can talk to that part directly. And if it doesn't want to talk to me, I can guide you about how to talk to it (and tell it to knock it off!).
If you find yourself regularly struggling with anxiety and panic, hypnosis or hypnotherapy might just be the answer you've been looking for.
